Jeremy Fisher and Jim Bryson have started a new project called Catch & Release. The theory: fully record and release a song on the same day.
Yesterday Jeremy and Jim completed their first song, The Age of Asparagus.
They gave away 200 free downloads of the song via Jim’s BandCamp page.
Thank you to all the early supporters! We really hoped you enjoyed the track. Stay tuned for news on Jim & Jeremy’s next expedition!
Jim Bryson talks with novelist Alison Pick about time, space, and writing. Check it out here.
Jim Bryson will be performing at Home County Music & Arts Festival this year which takes place July 20-22 in London, ON at Victoria Park.
For more information, head over to www.homecounty.ca.
Admission is by donation, suggested donations are $5/day or $15/entire weekend.
Hope to see you there!

We realize Jim is at home with the family for the next couple of months, but sometimes he just can’t sit still. He will be heading out and playing a few shows over the next couple of month while they welcome (eventually) a new addition. At “press time”, Lisa was sitting 5 days overdue. They have tried many of the inducing clichés, but still they wait. Here is the news we can present:
IN THE DEAD OF WINTER WAKEFIELD:
A festival started almost a decade ago in Halifax in a time when music shows were rare and people were hungry. Heather Gibson and a group of volunteers decided to launch the In The Dead of Winter Festival. All those years ago, Heather asked Jim to be a part almost from the ground up and it is only natural that Jim would play a Wakefield version of this festival. His connection to both the festival and The Black Sheep Inn make it a natural fit.
Local performances this year are will be very few & Jim will be joined by Joey Wright in what could be called a “No Grass” Duo. Also on the bill is the 2010 Galaxy Rising Star Award recipient Kim Wempe and Danielle Duval.
There are also shows on Friday and matinee’s on both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday February 11, 2012 Wakefield, Quebec The Black Sheep Inn In The Dead of Winter Wakefield with: Jim Bryson, Kim Wempe, Danielle Duval 8:00pm *Festival passes can be purchased for $55. Single event tickets also available.

Happy 2012 wherever you may roam.
I am kind of in hibernation as we await the arrival of our second child here in 2 weeks. But being the dork I am, I have one more show planned before the full “Manternity” leave kicks in.
I am really excited (and nervous for early labor) to be a part of the Winter Green Concert Series next Saturday, January 21st.
My Friend Joey Wright will both be opening the show and playing a few numbers with me.
